Read an article in the local rag about the "Think! Bike" safety campaign. Just thought I would share the comments from a driver posted about the article.......
"Anything to improve safety has got to be a good thing but motorcyclist also have to take their share of the blame for the current rise in motorcycle accidents, because they are only on two wheels they have far more freedom to move about on the road and they need to think has that car seen me/will it see me. Also you only have to look at cars in a car park to see that the mirrors are not being used by their position, drivers need to realise that what is going on all around them and not just what’s in front you see many instances where it is quite obvious that the driver hasn’t got a clue what’s going on behind or beside them. Motorcyclist are very vulnerable and should ride accordingly and the fact they are virtually untouchable as regards to law enforcement only encourages them to ride their bikes without regard for the law."
