We have 1 or 2 mice living under the floor of our bedroom. They originally got in through a hole right by the roof of our bay window. I blocked this, along with any other holes I could see, as laying poison were I had seen them wasn't working. This weekend, I saw one of the little buggers again on the bay window roof. He is still getting in/out somewhere around the bay window roof, but I can not see a hole. I have tried putting a bait box down, both out on the roof on the window sill and in the airing cupboard as there are gaps in the floorboards there, big enough for a mouse. I also put extra seed in and around the bait box, but they just stay clear of it.

I have to be careful with poison, as we have doves that feed off our bay window roof (this is why they are attracted to the roof in the first place) and I don't want to kill them!

It's really annoying as I have a cat, and he so badly wants to catch/kill/eat them, but they are never in the living areas of the house!
