In need of help again

Over the past 3-4 days my internet has been getting progressively slower. I'm with Vodafone for landline and ISP. Spoke to them tonight, went through unplugging router, telephone line etc but still slow. The guy suggested taking the faceplate off the phone socket and connecting the filter behind it, does this sound right? Any ideas what could be causing this?

Not sure whether it helps but the following was also listed when I did the BT speed test:

Acceptable range of speeds for my line: 50-250kbps (this seems very low)
DSL Connection rate: 4837kbps (downstream)
IP Profile for my line (Something about the rate set by BT wholesale BRAS?): 135kbps (again seems low)

My current download speed is 115kbps!!!

EDIT: Just done this test, looks roughly the same
