I'm in a similar position; I picked up my SV three weeks ago, and was worried about the stock tyres, since it's generally believed that OEMs are made of collapsed stars.
So far, I've only had slippages in the first 100 miles. The chicken strips are about 4mm now, so there's obviously not a grip problem as such, they just need a bit longer to warm up than, say, a set of pilot road 2s do.
Don't freak out about them. They're fine.
