Re: Hagon instructions
Spannerman
I've done forks lots of times!Morini 350,GS500 and my TDM but relacing springs with a supposedly quality manufacturer and his clear as mud instructions, that's different. They refer to the spacers in such a vague way,do I re-install them or not? They say maybe if the installed new springs protrude above by a certain amount etc.....
You set the air gap with the forks fully compressed & held vertically, & with no spring or spacers fitted.
The best way of measuring the gap if you haven't got a level gauge, is to insert a steel rule. Don't try to measure to the top of the oil. Insert the rule say 200mm from the top of the tube, & then subtract the amount of oil on the rule from 200mm. This will give you the measured gap.
Make sure you pump the forks up & down several times after filling them, & let them settle before setting the air gap.
