I'd see if you can pick up a secondhand Micron rear stand and go for hooks. A set of R&G bobbins or "Cotton Reels" will give your swingarm a wee bit of extra protection should the bike it ever find its way beyond a certain angle....... Good sturdy stands and the hooks are very secure. Just to confuse, I can put both the curvy and pointy SVs up on the same stand (single handed) using the swingarm pads without any problem. It's all a matter of confidence and experience.
