So...what looks like a house is actually a community building of some sort like a school/church or offices? Big enough car park there, but entrance would be right by your driveway.

Yes, that's a massive garage. I reckon the view from the garden could be made better as Quiff says, but seeing how far away the other building is with the windowed stairwell, you will find it VERY hard keep your garden from view.
