So I have agreed to take my good lady out for a quiet pint tonight. The local show offs are holding their annual garden party which means the little pub in the village should be quiet. We are to be accompanied by out neighbours.

Out of the blue, whilst I was taking Jasper for his evening constitutional, (and a quick pint). A certain Irishman of my acquaintance has phoned at a loss for the evening. Lynne has advised him of our plans and he and his good lady have decided to drop in on us.

On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being take brain out, soak it in best spirits and replace, 10 being leave in a barrel for the rest of your life because it will never work again, will this hurt?

As he has his wife with him to apply the brakes, I am going for a 5.

Oh and locking up the computer in case he come back.
