Default Things I learnt from my first wet ride

Gotta love the title

Well, made it home in relatively heavy rain nice and safe. Started off twisties then veered off onto A/Mway as I saw a huge lorry go down the back roads, and couldnt be bothered to sit at crawling pace getting wet.

Things I learnt:

1. Wiping visor at speed is...not as simple as it looks. Soon as I raised my hand to wipe I pretty much smacked myself in the face as the wind caught it LOL

Whoever mentioned on here about turning your lid to blow the water off is genious!

2. I do indeed need waterproof trousers as well, and overboots I think. Felt slightly damp, can imagine on a longer run I'd be wet for sure.

3. I need a neck roll thingy. Chin + neck froze

4. Bike probably has more grip than I am currently willing to explore in the wet. Did a steep ish 50mph corner at 60 without even realising it, til the end when I looked down.

It was fun, actually. Popped some paracetamol before I left, so that probably helped, but nearly no discomfort in wrist until I had to filter when I was coming into Harlow, lots of clutch work.

Due to roadworks at the moment coming into Harlow is 2 into 1 lane, and some cager refused to let me in...stuck literally bumper to bumper with the car in front. So I just nipped in front of both of them. But whats the fricking point? Not like I take up a load of space anyway.

Hey ho
