Re: Burning of the Qur'an.
Whilst not religious, I do respect others rights to their religion even when they use it to take the P.
We had one new recruit on his first day come to me and ask. "Where is the prayer room?" after climbing back on my seat and establishing he was serious I explained we hadn't got one. But having a couple of Muslim friends I was well aware of their need for prayer. I arranged for a section of a large unused plant room to be divided off. It provide washing facilities and was discrete enough that he or anyone else could make what ever use they wanted.
Great I thought when 2 weeks later he handed me his notice as he was going to a madrassa in Pakistan to study. Yes he certainly used his religion to take the proverbial out of me and my office refurbishment budget.
Well back to the burning. I respect the numpties right to do it. But if he is a man of god as he claims, he should respect the religious freedoms he enjoys and respect others rights to similar freedoms. From his ramblings on TV I now get the impression he is trying to turn his stupid stunt into a protest against the proposed mosque near (not on) the ground zero site.
Yes bigots exist with all religions. Why give them the ammunition.
