Any re-map worth having will run the bike up as-is first to see how that particular engine/mods combination behaves on the known map, then Taylor the new map to optimise the engines performance at WOT and efficiency at lower throttle settings for drive/rideability.
I think that just getting the restriction lifted will make you wet yourself the first few times you ride it, like I nearly did the first time I was told to "open it up" on the riding school's GS500 (I'm used to a CG 125)
