I never run my SV once it has been put away for winter, unless you get it properly hot by riding it a few miles all you are doing is filling the engine/exhaust with condensation. Keep the battery charged up and if the bad weather continues give it a good clean, dry it out as best you can without taking it out on the salt coated roads, then a light coating of ACF50 or WD40, whatever your choice to protect it.
