Just my opinion, but I have snapped a few and had to oxy torch them out (bloody difficult with an ally part you don't want to melt).
I read the same thing when doing a search for them. It Would seem it can be hit and miss between an easy job and a fg bch of a job.

I still think I'll give the extractor a go though. The bolts were copper greased so I think it wouldn't take that much purchase to coax them out. If it gives me the impression they are not going to come out easily, I'll revert back to drilling them out.
