Default Re: Dubstep Thread

I've just read through this thread, having listened to some of the music on the linkies, one of the first ones I listened to was on page 1, it's the NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN one.

NOW, that is my most fave song of all time, so anyone covering/sampling etc had better do it well or else............................:smt 027GET THE PICTURE????

Now, I may be 41 but I am pretty broad minded when it comes to music covering all types of genres, but since when in the name of the wee man has listening to a "CHIPMUNK" singing the Moody Blues ever been entertainment??????

Yes I can remember the punk era, I am ashamed to say that I had a lovely mullet hair-do while dancing to Duran-Duran in the 80's (after having got really into the MOD revival in the early 80's), saw the Happy Monday's live in 1991 (I'll even embarrisingly admit that I saw Michael Jackson live in 198. I've seen quite a few live bands over the years (Simple Minds, UB40 to name but 2), and even got dragged along to see Roxette by the ex-wife, probably why she's the ex!!!!, and I never knew that a brown paper bag had a rythem until Ronnie Size & Reprazent came along & told us otherwise (awesome tune by the way!!!!).

How can what sounds like a small furry woodland animal, backed by a synth be considered anywhere close to good.....................
