Well, it went fine for about 50 miles and then started dripping again. Just as I was starting to go mad, after unsuccessfully applying some black silicone sealant, the almost invisible crack showed. I'm almost relieved after changing 3 sets of washers with the same effect. Looks like I'll be needing a new radiator after all.
