I have one of these, Casio G-Shock G-011D for a few years. Water resist of 20 bar, analogue hands but the right LCD screen can show time, date or day. Usual digital modes - alarms, dst, world time, timer, stopwatch. I like it because it's stainless steel plated so looks more elegant than the usual in your face labelled G-Shocks but has the same tough shock protection.

I got it abroad though, not sure if UK Casio stockists have these for you to see in the flesh.

Light isn't too great, it's a yellow led that barely illuminates the hands, it does have an auto illuminate on movement mode you could switch on in case er... your non watch arm drops off after setting it on and it's dark.

This is a better worded review and slightly cooler face than mine
