Default A bit of a dilema

OK, imagine you are the ex-wife of a prominent politician. As the divorce gets cacky, you publicly state that you took the blame, and the points, for a speeding offence when your ex was actually driving. You are then both charged with perverting the cause of justice.

So, do you stick by your original statement, knowing that you are in the **** but happy in the knowledge that your ex is going to cop it too. Or do you claim it isn't true after all. Because, of course, if the points swap never happened, and you only shot your mouth off to make the ex look bad, you are now in the brown stuff for lying to the police and wasting police time. And possibly, ironically, for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Basically, you're in trouble. So, just how much do you hate the ex.....
