Theres nothing much between the chassis on a 600 and the chassis on a litre, its just got less power, but they still go like f**k when revved hard. In tems of knowing what speed you are doing they fell the same. They dont have the torque of the bigger bike, but thats only a problem if your a bit hamfisted with the throttle. I honestly dont think a sports 600 is a 'safer' choice and will be just as quick on the road as the litre bike because you cant use the litre bikes potential on the road anyway. I said on here before I never in 5 years on the SV found anothef bike I couldn't keep up with below 100mph. If you want a bike you can thrash without geting inyo trouble so easily get an SV again and stick some gixxer forks and a decent shock on it.
