Default Which method to mount my driftHD170?

Just got myself a new Drift HD170. It was going on Amazon for £125 which was a right bargain, but seems to have already gone back up to £175! Anyway, I have a choice of a velcro patch or a 3M branded sticky pad to attach the helmet mount to the top of my lid. But I'm completely undecided which to use.

Velcro means I can remove the mount, leaving only a small patch of black velcro attached to my helmet. Sticky pad means the mount (which is about 1CM tall and black) will always be on my lid. Velcro means I can realign the camera a bit if I don't apply the pads right first time, but also means I have to take care of alignment each time ... sticky pad means I have to get it right, but once done, it's done. Velcro may allow for some wobble and freeplay, where as sticky pad should stay rigid. Sticky pad is slightly larger too. Don't know which would be stronger and more reliabile.

Argggh. What does everyone reckon?!?!

Shown where I'm mounting it and the two pads ...
