A lad that lives near me has a quad, much cheaper insurance than a car but can use the same licences. I would imagine that if the price of car insurance is a problem, insuring a 150 BHP, 1 litre quad would also be prove to be too expensive for the young driver crowd.

If there was somewhere to play about with one off road, i'd have a blast, but would rather have a dirt bike for that.
