You may already know but you can adjust the sensitivity of the mic. It can get overwhelmed over a certain DB, which causes the wind noise to sound amplified. As someone mentioned, you can get a good foam cap to reduce this and then strategically place the mic to reduce it even further. I've managed to extract good bike audio in one or two of my vids but in most cases the wind noise is just annoying.
Edit: Ah, I believe your model doesn't come with the external mic! Which makes the wind noise even worse. I have a 1080, which has better sound. The new one is improved again I think.
Edit Edit: I quite like the pannier view actually. It shows your inputs and planning, which offers a different POV from the standard helmet or forward mounted cam.
