I felt a bit like that to start with, but I really was limited what I could do with my wrist whilst it was in a cast. Once I had the plate put into it, it was better as I could start to use it again.

I sort of settled into a routine I actually quite liked having the downtime. I'm guessing you've bust something so really the best thing you can do is take the pain killers and rest. You'll heal alot faster IMHO that way and that is also what I was told to do by the Dr as well.
