Make sure the connector blades/contacts are good and clean, and also check all the fuse blades including the main fuse in the starter relay. I suspect a lot of issues arise out of dirty/corroded contacts, high restistance generates a lot of heat and causes burnt connectors.

Clean them, apply dielectric grease or vaseline or ACF50.
