Default Easiest electrical fix and LED headlights?

Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a 2001 Suzuki Gsf600 bandit (with those daft oo <--- twin headlights) Anyway around the front end their is exposed wire connectors and cracked rubber casings/covers - picture attatched - I'm assuming they are not made to withstand torrential rain and as i use the bike as a commutter it will get wet! what would be the best way to seal all this up, wrap it all in black tape or have it all done properly in new casings? or another option??

Question 2, LED headlights - I have seen these on ebay for around £60 and i'm wondering if anyone has them on their bike and how effective they are? and if they are any good how difficult are they likely to be to install?
