crash bungs are rubbish!
Generally speaking there are too many variables in the anatomy of a crash to be able to say definitively if a bung has performed well or not.
Some early crash bungs were very strong indeed, staying resolutely in place whatever loads were placed upon them, sounds great - exactly what you want, right?
Wrong - those won't let go and pass all those loads into the frame and bend it, sometimes even snapping the mounts off of the engine.
Be careful what you wish for - you might just get it.
PS. Crash bungs, with some notable exceptions, are mostly crap.
