Throttle bodies or carbs - balancing does exactly the same thing and by the same process. Curvies have TPS too, setting nowhere near as critical as FI bikes.
Throttle transitions on SVs can be awkward, they're like that, clearly having everything set correctly will minimise the difficulty in managing the throttle.
