Default Re: K1 Battery 99-02 & RR

Yuasa are a good brand but on a recent discussion I didn't like them not because of their quality but they supply a separate battery acid pack even with,"Their" version of an AGM Battery.I dislike the old technology and prefer fully sealed,"Fire-And-Forget"Gel or AGM batteries having laid bikes down a couple of times over the years the Lead/Acid type batteries almost always get killed if not straight away not shortly after and old style lead acid batteries are a thing of the past IMHO.Too much maintenance and potential danger.

MY 10 Penn'th.

PS
Whatever R/R you chose clean all the corrosion out of the main connectors to it with a small screwdriver with a bit of 500 grit/wet and dry paper wrapped round the end and scrape off carefully. This is the area that destroys them.My 1999 Curvy still has the OEM standard one but I service all my electrical connections every two years when I change my Coolant and Brake fluid.I use a combination of Contact cleaner and ACF50 to protect them,
