Would definitely prefer a night ferry as I've got no problem in staying up late but getting up before dawn is somewhat painful (if at all possible!).
It would also allow us more time to get to the destination I suggest and if we ride side by side in pairs then if we think the other rider is starting to nod off we can just give 'em a quick kick.
