I did my theory several weeks ago which was interesting as I've been driving cars for over 10 years. I didn't bother with the book or cd, there is an online service that has all the same questions you get at the test and you can pay £5 for a months access and use it as much as you want. I used that and just read up on the highway code. The questions were exactly the same as in the test.

I got full marks for the theory and about 50 for the hazard perception bit, which, in my opinion, is a total waste of time. You are supposed to click the mouse when you see a hazard (which included pedestrians on the other side of the road far far away?) and also click again when the hazard develops. You can't just click lots of times as otherswise you get 0 points for that video clip. You get 14 clips, I haven't been so bored in all my life!
