I've got Kane Navigation on a Palm Tungsten 2 and used it on a weekend trip to Brighton last month and the Christmas Day run up to Lincolnshire.
I put a ciggy lighter socket, connected to the battery, under the rear seat and ran the electric string under the edge of the front seat and up into the map pocket of the tank bag into the PDA, with the GPS receiver tucked in there as well. I mainly relied on the voice directions, with ordinary 'in ear' phones, but on longer multi map trips the only indication of which roundabout exit to use is on the screen and the SV tank shape means that it's angled forward and difficult to see.
I've got the bits to fit a socket and PDA holder into the fairing and it shouldn't be difficult to fit the aerial in there as well and then there's just the waterproofing to deal with.
