The Loobman works very well, I understand what you mean by ugly and untidy, but of course it's all down to how/where you fit it, it won't ever be as unobtrusive as, say, a Scottoiler or Lubetronic, as, being manual you need to be able to reach it to use it, precluding your fitting it completely out of sight, but I think it could be done more sensitively than in those pics.
