Ultimately, it depends on what you want from the bike and how long you have been riding for. If you are looking for your first 'proper' bike, then the 650 is great - very rideable (the new ones have adjustable front suspension and fuel injection - they are a bit kinfugly though ) and there are plenty of mods you can do to make yours a bit different.
