I've no issues with cost reductions and efficiency improvements (providing that's what they are), it's the predictable "denial/it wasn't me/it's someone else's fault/no comment/there is no problem" attitude.

FFS if people are dying and being seriously injured due to a simple thing like inappropriate surfacing, then surely to goodness someone in the Government should have the b@ll$ to stand up and say so.

There again while they can blame everything on drivers beaking the "safety" limits and catching them on "safety cameras" and raking in the dosh, what's the point confusing the issue with nonsense about slippy road surfaces.

Damn, there I go again getting all cynical in my old age.
