Welcome ot the site and great choice on your bike .

My biggest tips would be:

Mod: Fender Extender (basically an extended front mudguard). Aside from keeping mud etc. of the bike, helps keep the front a bit dryer to. They're very cheap, you should be able to get one for under £20 and even someone with v. limited mechanical knowledge/skill (like me!) should be able to fit one without any problems.

Cleaning: Get a tube of Solvol Autosol (Great metal polisher/cleaner) and apply it by scrubbing it on with an old toothbrush, then polish with a rag once clean. Use it regularly on the downpipe (that frontmost pipe that comes out of the engine and goes into the exhaust). It'll probably already be a tarnished copper colour!
