I've had my SV1000s for 18 months and done 19k miles. good reliable bike, nice and fast (not up to the mille though), keeps up with most fast bikes, and because of its torque, it can even beat some from the line.
Cheap to service, plenty of mods available.
build quality is typical suzuki (thin paint, low quality furry bolts etc)
I commute 75 miles a day, throughout the year, and the bike didnt let me down at all.
