Its not just the air intake mate, else that way the bike would run really rich.
I dont know fully either, but its a much smaller washer which is attached to the carbs (on mine anyway) which restricts the amount of fuel/air mixture which is taken in during the induction stroke, therefore not as much can be burned giving less power (as is my understanding)
Can somebody explain this properly please, cuz iv always wondered...
