Precisely. Oil cheap, engines dear.

All modern motors will last an excellent life if they're given the chance to, some things to remember:

Change the oil regularly, if you do lots of cold starts, town trips and short trips do it more.
Don't "warm up" the engine before you ride off, start it get on and go - ride gently 'till it's warm.
Don't scream the tits off it when it's cold, the oil isn't working properly.
Don't let the engine labour at low revs, lots of load on the bearings, not so much oil pressure, keep it spinning freely.
