HJC AC-11
Well being as everyone tried to help me choose a helmet I thought I would write a review of the helmet that I got.
So here it is, my review of the AC-11.
Being as I had the justissimo before this new helmet (and most helmets tbh) is about 350g lighter, which makes a huge difference especially when doing any life savers or looking behind yourself.
The inside is very comfy and has a fully removeable lining, a chin skirt thang, and a good lot of padding around the neck.
It also comes with a removeable breathing guard that stops the visor misting up, and it works very well, and fits fine with no major issues.
The five vents on the helmet all have two settings each and actually do a lot, especially when the breathing guard is in.
The lid is much better for wind noise, in the way that there isn't much at all compared to the justissimo. Because of this I can hear more of the outside world, as much as if I had my Justissimo visor open. Not bad.
The release system on the visor is pretty good too, and quick to change over, although the visor is quite stiff to lift up at times. Hopefully it will loosen over time.
Being that it is summer I have a replacement dark visor which is great, but the one time I have ridden with the clean visor that came with the helmet it whistled a bit. I think this could be due to me not closing it properly, but I'm not sure.
Oh and I am getting used to the d-link strap, and actually starting to prefer it to the clip of the justissimo.
Ok, I think that's it.
Overall, for £100 it is a brilliant helmet, in fact for £200 it's a brilliant helmet, but I got it for £100 so I'm not complaining.
