Normally it is not necessary to re-map or re-jet if you change the exhaust.
But each manufacturer is different so it is worthwhile checking if they have designed the exhaust can or system not to need re-mapping or re-jetting.

Check the internet for the exhaust you're thinking of putting on.

On the other hand if you change the air-filter, say standard -> K&N, then you will almost certainly need to re-map or re-jet, as the amount of air per sec getting in to the intake will be different.

The only way to be sure if re-mapping or re-jetting is required (in either case - exhaust or air-filter changed) is to carry out a before and after dyno test.
