the reason race bikes are thrashed straight out the crate is because theyre not expected to last long. not sure how long exactly but itll be 3-4 race meetings at the most id expect (not B.A.S.A.T approved)
If you want to rack up lots of miles on the SV and not have engine problems later then the running in period should be stuck to. Easy for me to say though,mine was already run in when I got it \
