I had a Bandit for 2 weeks then bought an SV. Can't compare performance at the moment as I am stuck to 5k rpm but the Bandit wasn't slow although the lack of a screen was annoying.

At 6'3 and 17 stone this guy is a lot bigger than me (5'9 & 11st) so maybe the bigger and softer Bandit would suit him but I personally would take the SV everytime.

The Bandit does seem really dated compared to the SV.

Perhaps a Hornet or FZ6 is the best compromise.
