TBH, the best compromise is the bike that he feels most comfortable on and which will suit the sort of riding he plans to do.
Despite my "hint" above, it might be that the Hornet is physically too small for him.
The Bandit is a very comfortable bike, but I personally would choose the SV.
Bit off the wall here, but as he's a big fella, something like a TDM might suit him better. Insurance is reasonable (same ball-park as F*zer or Hornet) and it's a really comfortable bike.
