Then claim on your insurance for the damage to your vehicle, might as well as your premium will raise even if you don't.
Oh and have them check the vehicle because are you sure the brake lights etc were fully effective being as it's an aged vehicle?
If you have a couple of years NCB then check with your policy holder, a friend of mine *without* protected NCB only lost a year for the accident he declared. IIRC the first year is the most important at something like 30% the rest are 10%, 5% etc ...
Don't give up hope mate and definately don't sell the bike until you've explored all the avenues open to you.
