The marks could be from panniers ?? looks too far back to have been from a drop....
Though.. if you want to eliminate any worries of it dropped, look at the back of the radiator on the left side, if it goes down on the left, then the rad hits the floor as well, so it ends up getting bent up against the No1 cylinder..
and at £300 a pop, its not one of those items thats just changed!
