My front one fell off on the way to the test centre too (honest)! The bloke behind me spotted it and I wedged it down my jacket. At the test centre I spoke to the examiner about it and he produced some gaffer tape from his desk. You know someones a proper biker when they keep a reel of the silver stuff at work
