I could see why the 650 is not so great for the track in standard form. It does feel slow compared to the SV1000 and the suspension is softer. As someone already said, it's worth asking in the zyns forum as many people there have used their SV1000s for track days and thought it was great. Maybe my suspension is not set up quite right but I felt alot safer on the ZX6R than the SV1000 over about 120mph. Never done a track day but we have the autobanns here if the urge for a high speed run hits you.
