No - far too dangerous for me in the "Med" resorts:-
Crap bikes (i.e. poorly maintained)
Crap roads
No safety equipment
Crap riders
Crap drivers
Too many ****ed up tossers (both on the road & pavements)
If you think it is worth the risk then go ahead
However, I would love to tour US/OZ/NZ/Canada on a bike - have looked a couple of times at doing a West Coast/Rockies route but cannot justify the cost.
