I too don't think it's about 'progression' but fancying something different and I think it's a very difficult question to answer for other people cos we all have differnt tastes and use our bikes for different things (okay, mainly riding, but you know what I mean
).
My next bike will probably be a Griso or Breva (1100) cos I like V twins and I fancy something a bit more exotic but I don't think I will think of it as better than the SV or my current CB1300 just different...
