The more I look at it, the more I like the pointy's weird "trellis-like" beam frame. However, I think the frame is ruined by the weld (even as welds go, it's particularly ugly). Now, this is more of a pie in the sky dreaming questions, rather than a "I'm building a money is no object streetfighter" and need a definate answer one, but:

Does anyone know of any pointies (650s or 1000s) that have had the frame de-seamed? How much roughly does it cost? Got any pic, so I can confirm that it looks as good for real as the image in my head does? Are there real strength/safety concerns with de-seaming a fairly thin aluminimum frame like the SV's, if it's done properly?
