Petropatch is a epoxy based putty you can get to patch holes in petrol tanks, works well, don't decay due to petrol ( i know cause i dropped 2 blobs in my tank and got them out 6 months later)
But I don't recommend it for a permanent solution cause i'd be ****ed if a brought a bodged tank
